EnerDel’s Dr. John Warner announced as 2018 President Elect of NAATBatt International


INDIANAPOLIS, IN – 14 March 2017 – EnerDel, a leading supplier of advanced lithium-ion batteries, announced that Chief Marketing Officer, Dr. John Warner, has been elected as the 2018 President Elect of industry trade group the National Alliance for Advanced Transportation Batteries (“NAATBatt”) International. This is the first time that an employee of EnerDel will have the honor of holding this title. Dr. Warner joined EnerDel in the spring of 2016 and has since played an instrumental role in positioning the company as a premier lithium-ion battery solutions provider.

For more than 25 years, Dr. John Warner has worked as a sales, product management, and strategic marketing executive in the automotive and battery industries. He has held roles of increasing responsibility with global companies such as XALT Energy, Magna Steyr Battery Systems, Boston-Power and General Motors. Dr. Warner is committed and fully engaged in the battery space serving as the Chair of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Battery Size Standardization Committee and NAATBatt International co-Chair on the SAE Bus Battery Safety Committee.

Dr. Warner will hold the role as President Elect through 2017 until his term as President begins in the spring of 2018. As President of NAATBatt, Dr. John Warner will be the Chief Executive Officer of the Board of Directors. This means he will serve as ex-officials a full voting member of the board, chair the Board meetings, preside over annual and special meetings of NAATBatt, and be responsible for the usual powers and duties vested in such office.

As CMO of Ener1 and EnerDel, Dr. Warner is responsible for sales and marketing activities driving the company‘s continued sales growth and re-emergence as a global player in the lithium-ion battery space. “EnerDel has been a long-time member of NAATBatt and is proud to have John serve as the next president.“ says EnerDel CEO Michael Canada “The great depth of experience John brings to his role here at EnerDel will serve NAATBatt well.“
