Advantage
- High Energy
- Good Power Capability
- Good Cycle Performance
- Good Safety Performance
- Good Low Temperature Performance

EnerDel's Hard Carbon Li-ion cells will be capable of providing enough power and energy to meet the requirements necessary for plug in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) and electric vehicles (EV).
PHEV and EV need much higher energy and bigger cells than HEV applications. EnerDel hard carbon cell s can provide the best performance with an excellent safety and long cycle ability.

Safety

EnerDel’s cell chemistry enables the production of cells that do not exhibit large thermal excursions compared to other commercially available lithium ion cells. The unique chemistry does not produce much heat during large current draws or during overcharge or over discharge conditions. In addition the mechanical design allows for heat to dissipate easily and maintain temperatures that do not cause thermal runaway.

Life

The cycle life expectancy of EnerDel’s cells makes it a suitable candidate for HEV/EV applications. The cell chemistry is capable of achieving more than 1000 cycles at an elevated temperature of 55oC without losing more than 10% of its initial capacity.
