MAJOR FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
 Perform quality system assessments of potential suppliers prior to selection and on an ongoing basis. 
PRIMARY DUTIES
·         Conduct or assist with part approvals prior to use in production.·         Audit supplier production processes.·         Develop receiving inspection plans, inspection criteria and inspection work instructions for incoming materials.·         Initiate corrective action requests to suppliers and assist in problem solving to closure as required for all supplier caused defects.·         Monitor supplier quality performance and initiate improvement activities.·         Develop supplier related quality management system documentation as required, i.e., supplier quality manual.·          All other duties as necessary and assigned.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
§  Knowledgeable of TS16969 system and all automotive APQP requirements.§  Project Management: ability to organize and manage multiple products through manufacturing process.§  Quality orientation and high attention to detail.§  Ability to work with vendors, customers and employees.§  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.§  Experience working with high performance teams.§  Ability to maintain safe work environment.§  Ability to perform problem analysis and problem resolution.§  Must be able to easily adapt to changing situations.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE
§  5-7 years previous quality engineering experience required.§  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.§  CQE preferred.§  APQP documentation (flow diagrams, control plans & P/DFMEA’s) experience required.§  Previous automotive supplier experience helpful.§  ISO/TS 16949 experience preferred.
