MAJOR FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform product and materials testing to specified conformance requirements using a variety of specialized testing equipment.
PRIMARY DUTIES
·Conduct or assist with part approvals prior to use in production.·Prepare testing protocols.·Program and set-up equipment as required.·Develop test plans based on customer requirements, specific standards and internal requests.·Coordinate third-party testing.·Develop and conduct continuous conformance testing.·Prepare detailed testing schedules, track adherence to schedules and report significant delays to management.·Prepare detailed testing results reports.·Interface with engineering and quality management to determine required testing and methods and communicate test results.·All other duties as necessary and assigned.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
§Lithium or other battery testing experience preferred.§Knowledge of USBC, ASTM, IEC, ISO and environmental test standards preferred.§Familiarity with battery testing protocols required.§Project Management: ability to organize and manage multiple products through manufacturing process.§Quality orientation and high attention to detail.§Ability to work with vendors, customers and employees.§Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.§Experience working with high performance teams.§Ability to maintain safe work environment.§Ability to perform problem analysis and problem resolution.§Must be able to easily adapt to changing situations.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE
§3-5 years previous quality engineering experience required.§Bachelor’s degree in electrical, chemical or mechanical engineering required.§
