MAJOR FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
The program manager acts as the business leader for programs/projects after they have been awarded to successfully launch new products to ensure customer satisfaction.The position is expected to coordinate issues relating to quality, cost, project budget, financial status and adhering to the project schedule with set customer.
PRIMARY DUTIES
·Manage the internal development team such that safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met successfully·Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively and efficiently·Track and manage open issues to completion·Manage the customer interface·Act as an advocate for the customer when interacting with internal groups·Support technical leaders when communicating with the customer·Support further development of design and development processes·Support ISO-9000 certification activities·Comply with policies and procedures
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
·Demonstrated experience with successfully managing quality, delivery, and cost objectives·Demonstrated experience with planning and risk management·Experience with Microsoft Project·Ability to manage customer interface and communication·Ability to work in and lead teams, successfully resolve conflicting priorities·Ability to plan and manage own work on multiple projects and tasks·Ability to perform problem analysis and problem resolution·Ability to adapt to a changing environment
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE
§Minimum bachelors degree in Engineering or related field; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree Preferred§Minimum 5 years program management or related experience§Automotive program management experience (APQP, PPAP) strongly desired§PMI certification desired
