MAJOR FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage production operations including all
activities of the production floor under the direction of the area manager.Plans, schedules, and coordinates
departmental activities to fulfill build orders, meet inventory requirements,
and deliver quality products in a timely fashion.
PRIMARY DUTIES
·Process development and documentation of manufacturing
work instructions.
·Support prototyping activities of new product
development.
.Evaluates and solves production problems.
·Supervises all production operations such as training,
machining, processing and assembly.
·Ensures effective employee relations, facilitates time
off and attendance programs.
Instructs on general safety procedures,
monitors adherence to policies and practices and the use of PPE.
·Manages departmental performance
measures and provides regular progress reports to management.
·Assists with accident investigations.
·Maintains proper inventory levels.
·All other duties as necessary and assigned.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
·Must be able to assist in improving a system of
production control, standard operating procedure, safety, quality control,
and performance management.
·Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results
through others.
·Must be able to manage multiple tasks
and or priorities and easily adapt to rapidly changing situations.
·Quality orientation, high attention to detail and
strong commitment to safety.
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
·Experience working with and developing high performance
teams.
·Ability to perform problem analysis and problem
resolution.
·Must have complete knowledge of production scheduling
and shop operations.5S experience is
a plus.
·Must be familiar with product construction and
application.
·Must have general understanding of SPC and standard
documentation packages.
·Ability to work in a team environment.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE
·Minimum
6 years previous manufacturing supervision experience required.
·Bachelor’s
degree in engineering, manufacturing management or related field preferred.Associates degree required.May consider experience if lieu of
education.
·Microsoft
Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) skills required.
·Sufficient
math skills to calculate yields, build efficiency, etc. required.
·Flexibility
to transition to alternate shift is a strong plus.
