MAJOR FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

The Maintenance Electrician repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment including pneumatic components, hydraulic components, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Perform necessary preventative maintenance to the equipment and machinery, repair and replace defective parts;

Perform mechanical/electrical tests as part of problem analysis;

Perform calibration and adjustment procedures on process equipment;

Make necessary electrical installations and/or repairs;

Work with departments to provide mechanical support;

Maintain maintenance record keeping system.

Follow standard safety practices and regulations and maintain work area and equipment in clean orderly condition.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

Must have proven experience and ability in mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenance troubleshooting techniques;

Demonstrated working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles and concepts;

Must be able to read/comprehend written and verbal instructions;

Must be able to work with minimal supervision;     

Experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s and others (ie, Omron, Mitsubishi,) experience is a must.

Must be able to work with high voltage.

Must be able to work at safely at elevated work heights.

Must provide own hand tools to perform necessary work.

Experience with motion controls, motor speed controls, and machine control safety standards a plus.

Experience with vision systems a plus.

Must have knowledge of PC devices and related hardware and software.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years industrial electrical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience;
