MAJOR FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Controller, the Financial Analyst is responsible for processing, monitoring and analyzing the operational business units’ financial position.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: internal budget control, financial reporting, reconciliation of expenditures and revenues and auditing for program compliance, expenditure review, maintaining proper documentation and monitoring to ensure compliance with GAAP.
PRIMARY DUTIES
·         Analyze and evaluate financial data; interpret. ·         Conduct in-depth analysis on operating margins, manufacturing variance and purchase price variances.·         Lead cross functional project teams to drive productivity and cost improvement initiatives. ·         Perform overall budgeting and forecasting analysis. ·         Identify trends, productivity changes and operating expenses and present findings to management. ·         Identify improvement opportunities across enterprise, assisting in determining optimal manufacturing footprint while ensuring customer expectations are met. ·         Conduct detailed inventory analysis for multiple businesses and identify opportunities to improve cash flow through inventory optimization. ·         Make recommendations to management based on financial analysis of business trends, spending, and operations. ·         Site control responsibilities associated with monthly accounting close, audits, financial reporting ·         Work with management to determine forecast guidance by preparing analysis of projections, understanding the customer needs and combining with best practice operations techniques. ·         Provide strategic guidance through analytical support to senior global operations management team. ·         Assist in development of new analyses, processes and/or procedures.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
·         Requires complex financial analysis and quantitative skills. ·         Considerable knowledge of GAAP, practices, techniques and basic bookkeeping principles and record keeping procedures. ·         Strong computer skills including but not limited to Access, Excel and MRP systems.·         Excellent problem solving, communication, & interpersonal skills required ·          Ability to work efficiently with little supervision.·         Ability to communicate effectively with many people at different levels of the organization.·         Strong problem solving and communication skills. ·         Strong financial acumen, in a manufacturing environment.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE
·         4 year degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance·         5-7 years minimum related accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required, automotive preferred.·         Masters degree or CPA/CMA preferable
