Position Overview:
EnerDel designs, builds and manufactures lithium-ion energy storage solutions and battery systems with a focus on heavy duty transportation, on- and off-grid electrical, mass transit and task-oriented applications. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for accounts payable and receivable accounts, balancing department budgets, invoicing clients, and developing and maintaining a comprehensive financial filing system. The Staff Accountant will also be involved in the performance of various assigned tasks and completing those assigned projects in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Job Functions
- Enter and balance accounts receivable and payable daily for a manufacturing company
- Assemble financial data for audits as needed
- Reconcile department accounts monthly
- Perform periodic fixed asset audit
- Assist the Finance Manager in updating the accounting policy manual
- Prepare reports to present to management
- Interface with order fulfillment area to understand customer invoice timing
- Support ongoing external and internal audits
- Knowledge of NetSuite would be very helpful
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Preferred:-
- Associates Degree in Accounting required (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred)
- Three to Five years of practical experience in a manufacturing environment
- NetSuite experience would be a plus
- Intermediate to advanced skills with the: Internet, data entry, spreadsheets, and word processing, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Very strong work ethic is crucial
- Ability to “take ownership” and adapt to an ever-changing environment
- Ability to adjust very quickly to take on new responsibilities as potential gaps are identified
- Ability to be a self-starting hard worker
- Working knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting
