With more than 19 years of experience in the design, development and production of energy storage devices for automotive applications, Mr. Waters is responsible for production of Ener1's lithium batteries. Prior to joining Ener1, Mr. Waters worked for Delphi Corporation, a world leader in mobile electronics and automotive components. He was instrumental in establishing Delphi's Lithium Battery Systems Group and designed and oversaw the production of multiple lithium battery products, as well as advanced energy storage systems for hybrid-electric vehicles. Prior to Delphi, Waters worked for Electronic Data Systems Corporation where he led numerous projects, including the development and production of the battery pack system for General Motors' first electric vehicle and subsequent electric vehicles. He began his career at Texas Instruments, Inc., designing and implementing automated manufacturing processes for General Motors Engine Division. He has been awarded four U.S. patents and is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
